A New Due Date

So my last ultrasound visit on Christmas Eve wasn't that great. I hoped I'd get the nice lady-tech Kym, who I had on Dec. 3rd, but it was someone different. Unfortunately, she wasn't too friendly or talkative and didn't have me in a position to see everything that she was seeing on the ultrasound monitor. At the end of her measuring and picture-taking, I got to see my baby boy moving around & his little feet kickin away. Oh yeah, according to the ultrasound tech's measurement's of the baby, my due date isn't April 29th...it's April 20th. Hmmm...

Well, about a week from Thursday I began to get pain in my lower right abdomen & my Dr. said the pain is from my fibroid. It got worse over the weekend to where I could barely walk normal and it hurts to change position in bed. According to my Dr. and from what I've read, if a fibroid doesn't get enough blood circulating to it, then it's as if the fibroid is having a 'heart-attack' & therefore causes pain. But in the last few days, it seems that the pain has been lessened. Thank God!

At least I'll get to rest a little this next week 'cause I took off from work!

Christmas for Leon & I seemed to breeze by so quickly this year! On Christmas Eve, we only had one little cousin around to enjoy watching her open her gifts. On Christmas Day, eating & family time just seemed to pass by way too soon. It's just not the same as it used to be when we were younger. It seems like family used to get along better, stick around longer, and enjoy swapping old stories & fun times together...not so much anymore...times are a'changin' I guess.

Leon & I are looking forward to spending some time with our friends Danny & Sonja in Albuquerque for New Year's. Not sure whats's in store yet though. So until next time, HAPPY NEW YEAR Everyone!
